The Youth Section recently held its end of season presentations at the club with ‘stalwarts’ Bob Hopwood and Barry Elliot presenting the awards.
Chairman of Youth Ian Tubman paid special thanks by presenting bouquets of flowers to Wendy Bentham for her exceptional work in looking after the catering and Michelle Jordan for arranging the youth section parties and fund raising events throughout the season. Mark Guest was also presented with a bottle of spirits for his long service acting as first aider.
Before moving onto the player awards, Ian also thanked all of the youth coaches and parents for their help during the season.
In total, there were 33 awards presented, however the main awards were given to the following players:
U10s Most Improved Player – Liam Ferris
U10s Player of the Season – Ryan Askwith
U11/12s Most Improved Player – Robbie Tolan
U11/12s Player of the Season – Oliver Allan
U11/12s Players’ Player – Drew Chesterfield
U13s Most Improved Player – Cameron Twaddle
U13s Player of the Season – Stewart Hull
U13s Players Player – Liam Walker
U15s Clubman of the Season – Kevin Chapman
U15s Most Improved Player – Josh Stewart
U15s Player of the Season – Anthony Jordan
U15s Players’ Player – Matthew Lattimer
U15s Player’s Player – Matthew Dockey
There were also a presentation made to thesix U15 players who were selected to represent Northumberland this season and they were Sean Craggs, Andrew Durham, Anthony Jordan, Nick Lavin, Connor Tubman and Ethan Wilson.
